Written by

There are so many great reasons to transform your tired, old kitchen cabinets into cabinets that will make your entire kitchen look updated.  Here are some of the main reasons you should consider taking the time to paint your kitchen cabinets.

Products Today Make it Easier Than Ever Before

There are so many great products on the market that make it easier than ever to paint your cabinets.  For example, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint requires no priming.  That’s a great paint to use if you want to save time.

Also, Rustoleum has a great product called “Cabinet Transformations” that allows you to change the color of your cabinets without sanding, stripping or priming.  Also, there are a lot of different colors available in spray cans if you don’t have the patience to use a paint brush and would rather spray on the paint.  There are so many more options than there were 10+ years ago.

Increase The Value Of Your Home

One of the main factors that people consider when looking to buy a home is the look of the kitchen.  By painting your kitchen cabinets in a popular color, you can give your kitchen a major upgrade and greatly increase the value of your home in the eyes of potential buyers.

Paint is “In”

Painted furniture and cabinets are popular right now and painted cabinets can really update an older kitchen.  Also, you can paint other furniture pieces in your kitchen such as hutches, buffets, dining sets, etc. to match or compliment your cabinets.  It’s a great way to tie in all of your colors.
