Hey friends! Easter is just around the corner, and I’m so excited to start decorating. For me, Easter isn’t just about bunnies and eggs. It’s a time to celebrate my faith and the joy of rebirth. I love creating a home filled with reminders of Jesus’ resurrection. So, I wanted to share some of my favorite Christian-based Easter decor ideas. Let’s make our homes beautiful and meaningful this season!
Resurrecting Hope: The Mantel’s Easter Message
My mantel is always a focal point. For Easter, I create a display centered around the cross. A simple wooden cross looks beautiful surrounded by candles. I add small vases of tulips and daffodils for a pop of color. I also like to incorporate scripture. Print out some of your favorite Easter verses and frame them. You can even create a banner with a meaningful phrase like “He is Risen Indeed.” Small ceramic bunnies or lambs add a touch of whimsy. But keep the focus on the true meaning of Easter.

Easter Dining Room: A Jubilant Table
Easter Sunday dinner is a special occasion. And the kitchen can reflects this. I use a crisp white tablecloth. It symbolizes new beginnings. Blue adds a touch of spring, as well as reminds us of the covenants we have made with the divine to Follow Him. I love using my good china. It feels special for this important day. A centerpiece with candles and spring flowers looks beautiful. I also like to place verses of scripture around the center piece, to help us focus on the reason for the season.

My family also loves to celebrate Palm Sunday the week before with a special dinner. Palms adorn the table and candles symbolize our hope in the Messiah, the light of the world.

Our family love our traditional game on Palm Sunday of finding the lost sheep. We have a small 4″ sheep like this one, that we hid for the kids to find after dinner. The winner gets $10 prize. My kids LOVE this tradition, it isn’t about the money, they find pride in being able to be the first one to find the sheep, and it give a great reminder of God’s love, for his endless pursuit searching for us when we are lost.

DIY Decor: Adding Reverent Touches
DIY projects are my favorite! They’re a great way to personalize your decor. One easy idea is to decorate eggs with Bible verses. Use a fine-tip marker to write out your favorite scriptures. You can also create a banner with felt letters. Spell out a phrase like “Happy Resurrection Day.”
Christmas isn’t the only time we can depict Christ. Have a vision for your family to remember the reason for this easter season with a Easter scene.

I love my resurrection garden, and have several of them in my home. Some are made with fresh grass seeds (start them about 5 weeks before easter) and some are faux grass and moss that I made myself.

Embracing the Season: Spring Touches Throughout
Don’t forget the rest of your home! Scatter small touches of spring throughout. Place vases of fresh flowers in every room. Tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths are my favorites. They smell amazing! Add some pastel-colored throw pillows to your sofas. Hang spring-themed artwork. Even simple touches can make a big difference.

Creating a Peaceful Devotion
Easter is a time for reflection. Create a peaceful atmosphere in your home. Play soft instrumental music- better yet, make or find a Easter specific music playlist, like this one music.youtube.com Light some scented candles. Take some time to read your Bible and pray. These small things can help you focus on the true meaning of Easter.
Sharing the Joy: Faith in Action
Easter is also a time for community. Invite friends and family over for a meal. Share the joy of the season with others. What better way is there to celebrate our Saviors life than to be like him, opening your home and time to others. Your home can be a place of love and fellowship.

Setting the Tone: Faith and Festivity
Your entryway is the first impression. Make it count! I love this “He is Risen” wreath. It’s a simple, powerful statement. A spring wreath with pastel colors and a few faux eggs could a touch of the season. I also love using a small table to display a Bible verse or a devotional book. It sets a peaceful tone as you enter my home. A basket filled with spring flowers completes the look.

A Reminder of Hope
Ultimately, Easter is about hope. It’s a reminder that Jesus conquered death. Let your home reflect this hope. Fill it with light, joy, and reminders of His love.
I hope these ideas inspire you to create a beautiful and meaningful Easter home. Remember, it’s not about having the perfect decorations. It’s about celebrating your faith and sharing the joy of the season with loved ones.
